CORPORATE PROFILE:

UHV Transfer Systems, Inc. is a privately held firm providing innovative products for OEM, Production Facility, and R&D/University Lab customers in the Surface Science, Semiconductor, Media, Sputter Deposition and R&D markets. UHVT’s core expertise is in the handling, transporting, positioning, manipulation and processing of samples, semiconductor wafers, substrates, flat panels and other materials with precision and reliability in UHV, HV and other challenging controlled environments.

Founded by Michael Ackeret (BS Physics 1987, MS Physics 1992). Mike has spent more than 25 years working in the vacuum industry and working both in Systems Design and Development as well as Managing Engineering and Manufacturing for UHVT (and its predecessor Transfer Engineering) since inception. Mike sold the company to Raleigh Nielsen in 2022, but is still operating as its General Manager and Design Specialist. Raleigh has worked with the team at UHVT for over 20 years as a supplier of Motion Control Components and Sub-Systems. Raleigh is also the owner of ModuSystems, Inc. (www.ModuSystems.com) – a manufacturer of Motion and Machine Controllers as well as a supplier for Motion Control and Robotics system components. Upon completion of the acquisition, UHVT and ModuSystems are now co-located in their San Jose, California facility.

This background, along with an experienced and knowledgeable technical team, gives UHV Transfer Systems the understanding and ability to offer unique components, sub-systems and systems to OEMs, R&D/University Laboratory and Production Facility customers. A wide range of units, including HV and UHV magnetic transporters, vacuum compatible load lock systems, vacuum suitcases – manually operated or motorized – are available as standard products. UHV Transfer specializes in the modification or customization of these units to meet unique applications.
